This is a group session, capped at 3 attendees, where reactive dog owners can practise their training around other people and dogs in a safe and controlled environment.
If you haven't come to one of our classes before, please book the 'Beginners' classes (this one), and we'll let you know when you can graduate to our 'Improvers' classes.
We will start the class with a quick introduction, humans only, in the car park, before then leading you through to the field, one-by-one, for the session. These beginner sessions are all about getting your dog comfortable in the field, with dogs and people in the distance.
We'll explore some foundational exercises to help boost your dog's confidence, calmness, and focus on you, so you can successfully move to our Improvers classes when your dog is ready. The session will officially end after 45 minutes, allowing you and your dog to calmly return to the car.
We use a force-free, welfare-first approach, making sure that you and your dog feel safe and supported every step of the way. This means we don’t use any techniques or equipment that cause pain, fear or discomfort (including prong collars and slip leads). If you currently use this type of equipment but would like to explore moving away from them, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

Not at all. Our classes are specifically designed for dogs who struggle in proximity to other dogs and people. We use visual barriers, plenty of space, and individual "stations" to ensure every dog stays below their threshold and feels safe enough to learn.
What happens if my dog has a "meltdown" during class?
Don't worry - you are in a judgment-free zone with other people who are used to it! We are experts at managing outbursts and will simply help you move to a distance where your dog feels comfortable again. We view these moments as information, not failure.
Are these classes force-free?
Absolutely. We use science-based, positive reinforcement methods. We never use "corrections," choke chains, or fear-based tactics, as these often make reactivity worse in the long run.
How many dogs are in a session?
We keep our classes small (typically 3 dogs in a beginners' class, or 6 in an improvers' class) to ensure a high instructor-to-student ratio. This allows us to give you the personal attention and space you need to succeed.
Can I attend if I’m on a tight budget?
Yes! One of our core values is accessibility. Our group classes are designed to provide a professional, welfare-first alternative to one-to-one clinical work, making expert support available to more owners.
What should I bring with me?
A double-ended lead like this one (no extendable leads, please), a flat collar and Y-fronted harness, and lots of high-value treats (think chicken, cheese, or whatever your dog finds irresistible!).
